- When creating personal space, some of you might choose it to be private
- When later you want to share your content to others, the following step should be followed
Opening your content to others
- Go to your personal space
- Under upper-left corner browse -> Space Admin
- On the left navigation bar click permissions
- Depending on who do you want to share it with, Click Edit Permissions
(Group is a group of people, Individual User where you can share the content to individual user, anonymous means whole world can see your content, not recommended)
- You might be prompted to re-enter your password
- Then add permission
- View - you can choose whether they can see your space (if you uncheck the box, the group/individual will be removed upon saving)
- Pages - you can choose whether they can add/restrict/delete pages in your space (not recommended)
- Blog - you can choose whether they can add/delete blog posts in your space (not recommended)
- Comments - you can choose whether they can leave/delete comments in your space
- Attachments - you can choose whether they can attach/delete files in your space
- Mail - not applicable on this server
- Space - you can choose whether they can export/set access rights(admin) your space (not recommended)
Type the group/individual name in the box then the possible choices will popup
Normally if you want to share with all SD people, the 2 groups are "SD Student" and "SD Staff"
It's sufficient giving them "View" and "Add Comments" right - (maybe plus Add attachments if you want them to be able to attach file in their comments)
- After setting, click Save all to save your settings and now the person/group you granted access can now see your space
- Go to your personal space
